Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made on aumovies.in and the AU Movies mobile applications, and is issued by AU Movies & Production House ("AU Movies", "we", "us", "our"). By making a payment, you agree to the terms below.
1. Refund Window
You are entitled to request a refund within seven (7) calendar days of the original transaction date, provided you have consumed less than 10% of the subscribed content on the plan.
2. Eligibility
- Refund requests are accepted only for subscriptions purchased directly from AU Movies via the website or official mobile applications.
- Purchases made via third-party app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) are governed by the respective store's refund policy.
- Promotional, discounted, or coupon-based purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
- Chargeback claims initiated before contacting the Grievance Officer may result in temporary suspension of the account until resolution.
3. How to Request a Refund
Send a written request to support@au-movies.com with the following:
- Registered email or phone number used at the time of purchase
- Transaction ID / Order ID as provided by our payment partner
- Date of transaction and amount
- Reason for the refund request
4. Processing Timeline
Once your refund request is approved, the refund will be initiated to the original payment method within 5 – 7 business days. The actual credit to your account depends on your bank or card issuer and may take an additional 3 – 5 business days.
5. Payment Gateway Partners
All refunds are processed through the same payment gateway used for the original transaction. AU Movies partners with the following RBI-authorised Payment Aggregators:
- PayU Payments Private Limited (PayU) — for card, UPI, net banking and wallet transactions.
- PhonePe Payment Solutions Private Limited (PhonePe) — for UPI and wallet transactions.
- Any additional PCI-DSS compliant aggregator listed on our checkout page from time to time.
Refunds are reversed to the source instrument via PayU / PhonePe settlement rails. AU Movies does not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or bank credentials at any point.
6. Non-Refundable Items
- Any subscription day / month / quarter already consumed in full.
- Add-ons, one-time rentals, or theatrical ticket bookings clearly marked as non-refundable at checkout.
- Refund requests submitted after the 7-day window.
7. Failed Transactions
If your account was debited but the subscription was not activated, the amount is automatically reversed by the payment gateway within 7 – 10 business days. If it is not credited back within this window, write to us with the transaction reference and we will assist with reconciliation.
8. Grievance Escalation
If a refund is not received within the timelines stated above, escalate to our Grievance Officer, Nagaveni Santhosha, at support@au-movies.com.
9. Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, Karnataka.
